Couple spends honeymoon participating in Joints in Motion cycling tour in France

What better way to spend a honeymoon then to raise money for a good cause and get to explore France?

By The Arthritis Society

Brookside, Nova Scotia residents Josh Galloway and Charlene Campbell are travelling to Provence, France today, September 18, to join 11 other members of The Arthritis Society’s Joints In Motion Canadian team on a multi-day cycling tour in Provence, France.

Together, the couple has raised $16,000 for The Arthritis Society’s Nova Scotia Division through this event. The funds will be invested in vital arthritis research, advocacy efforts and educational programs and services in Nova Scotia.

This event is the couple’s third Joints In Motion adventure, bringing their total raised to over $40,000. Galloway and Campbell met while participating in a Joints In Motion marathon event in Athens, Greece in 2007. They began dating and went on to participate in a Half Marathon in Trieste, Italy in 2009. They got married this May and are now celebrating their honeymoon by participating in this cycling tour in France.

This marks the first time Joints In Motion has offered a cycling event. The participants will be cycling between 35 and 50 km each day (with optional routes up to 100 km/day), traveling alongside charming villages, gorgeous vineyards, the river Rhone and historic Roman architecture in the beautiful French countryside.
