Amanda Wintink Mandy is a Life Coach and an Applied Neuroscientist. She works with people in areas of personal and professional development, combining her education in neuroscience and psychology with her training in yoga to teach people to understand how their own mind and brain work so that they can reduce stress and find happiness and life satisfaction.

As a science columnist for Optimyz, Mandy's goal is to bring science into the minds of the non-scientist so that they can be more aware the science that affects their health, fitness, adventures, nutrition, and mind.

In order to maintain her own balanced life, Mandy practices yoga and mindfulness and plays ultimate Frisbee, competing at the Canadian Ultimate Championships for the past 7 years. She's a prairie girl from Winnipeg who spent the past 10 years in Halifax before recently moving to Toronto to launch the Centre for Applied Neuroscience Coaching, an coaching, education, research, and community organization. Despite living in Toronto, she still travels to Halifax regularly to teach, coach, and train new life coaches. She has no plans to abandon her home-away-from-home on the East Coast and hopes to return with in the future!
