Hello Fellow OptiMYzer’s,
It’s been quite a while and there has been so much going on that it’s taken me this long to finally sit down and put my thoughts into writing.
Last post, I was 110% on the wagon and feeling really great about my running program, taking a few classes at GoodLife (still a huge fan of BodyPump) and avoiding the temptation of chocolate everything! Since then, the wagon has been dragging me behind it and I’ve been holding on with one hand and eating chocolate with the other. I made a career switch, which took a lot of my focus and the convenience of vending machines and grabbing snacks on the go, very quickly threw me off course.
The 7lbs I lost slowly crept back on and one morning I realized that my new work pants were feeling a bit snug! I guess it was the wagon’s way of letting me know that it didn’t appreciate my slowing it down by hanging on for dear life. That and my 3 year old son told me he was excited that I had a baby in my belly, the same as my 6 months pregnant sister. When I gently tried to correct him, he told me he could see it, right there! Out of the mouths of babes, as they say!
I’m happy to say that I am getting back on track! I am at GoodLife, three mornings a week at 5:30am for cardio and weights. I’ve been eating healthy and enjoying the surge in my energy again. I’ve also tried a few Hot Yoga classes and it is most definitely something that I should video tape and put on YouTube. Balance and coordination are not my strong suits at this stage! Add 110 degrees of heat and it’s enough to make even grumpy old men crack a few smiles.
However, I’m here and I’m recommitting to myself and also to my blog!
