You won’t miss the astrology that’s meant for you. New moons, full moons, and everything in between have a way of making themselves known.
June opens with us already in Gemini season, bringing a lighter, more playful energy and an invitation to pause, travel, or simply recharge for the months ahead. Astrologically, it sets the tone for one of the year’s most beautiful and supportive stretches.
One transit that has really caught my attention occurs mid-June, when Uranus squares the Nodes of the Moon. We have been in the lead up to this exact moment since late May and it will slowly ebb away by the end of July, when the Nodes change signs. This alignment can present an opportunity for a much-needed course correction and makes me think of the lines from poet Robert Frost:
“Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.”
Uranus in Gemini represents a flash of insight, a sudden download of information. The Nodes of the Moon are shadow points representing our evolutionary journey and karmic path. The South Node reflects gifts and patterns we bring into this lifetime, while the North Node points us toward new experiences we are here to learn from, without becoming attached to a specific outcome.
This is a time to embrace growth and release what no longer serves us.
Look to the Virgo house of your chart for the South Node position and the Pisces house for the North Node. “Practical perfection” are the words that spring to mind with Virgo, while Pisces asks us to let go of certainty and walk into new realms of experiences armed with fresh imagination and faith.
When given the chance to choose differently in a familiar situation, it feels easier to stay on the path we have always known. Yet this moment invites a new direction and offers the possibility of a meaningful do-over.
We cannot step fully into the future without first tending to the unresolved parts of our past. This moment asks for reflection, release, and a willingness to understand what still needs healing.
It is also a time to bring intellect and intuition into balance. Neither needs to dominate; when logic and inner knowing work together, they can guide us toward thoughtful, meaningful change.
Mid-month also brings a lovely Venus-Jupiter conjunction in Cancer. As two traditionally benefic planets, Venus and Jupiter tend to amplify joy, emotional warmth, and fulfillment in love whenever they meet.
June 21st marks the Summer Solstice, the longest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere, as the Sun moves into Cancer. It opens the season of long, hazy summer days. With the Moon in Virgo on this day, it highlights the connection between emotional and physical well-being. We can honor it by gathering with loved ones at sunrise or sunset and soaking in the warmth of the season.
The New Moon in Gemini on June 14th invites fresh ways of connecting, communicating, and engaging with others. Gemini’s social, curious energy encourages conversation, movement, and openness to new perspectives.
Two weeks later we have the Full Moon in Capricorn on June 29th. The Capricorn full moon turns our attention to what we have built and accomplished, especially in our professional lives. At the same time, it reminds us to balance ambition with care for others and for ourselves.
Mercury turns retrograde in Cancer on June 29th. During this time, communication with family and those near and dear come up for review. Words matter, choose with care.
On June 30th, Jupiter leaves Cancer and enters Leo, marking one of the month’s most significant astrological shifts. Because Jupiter changes signs only once a year, this transition also reinforces the pronounced movement of planets from water and earth to fire and air.
Jupiter expands whatever it touches, and in Leo that energy can feel like oxygen added to a flame. The invitation is to use that momentum wisely. Allow it to energize and inspire you without pushing yourself so hard that you burn out.
Think of June as your permission slip to relax and enjoy the magic of summer.
