If you are a writer looking to publish with OptiMYz, you’re in the right place. Read below on how to pitch us…We receive a lot of pitches so bear with us!
Check out our guidelines before you press send:
» Read our magazine and write for our tone and style. Note that our five pillars are Health, Fitness, Nutrition, Mind and Life.
» As a print magazine, we have lead times of up to six months. Please submit pitches for print in good time. Digital pitches will be accepted at any time.
» We read all pitches and endeavour to reply within 30 days. Please send one pitch, or pitch series, at a time.
» Do not send us pitches for stories that have appeared in other publications.
» Outline your story idea clearly and concisely. Include a proposed length and potential sources.
» Explain how why your piece fits in with our magazine and what pillar it falls under.
» Clearly state whether your article is for print or digital consideration.
» You may send a one-page pitch letter that includes up to five short pitches (pitch series).
» If you a new-to-us writer, please include a link to your previous work.
We accept digital submissions at any time. Please send us your article ideas and a brief outline of your article. Digital copy must be written in the same tone as our print publication. As with print content, digital copy should not pitch a specific product or service. All submissions are reviewed and edited to suit our text style. If accepted, you will be notified. Ideal digital story lengths are 400-600 words. If there are external links in the story, be sure they are submitted with the article and are working. All images must be copyright assured with correct attribution. We reserve the right to edit submissions and change any images.
