2. ELIGIBILITY

Who Can Enter:

• Legal residents of Canada (excluding Quebec residents due to provincial regulatory requirements)

• Must be 18+ years of age at time of entry 

• Employees, contractors, and immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling) of HumanMedia and affiliated companies are NOT eligible

• Previous winners of HumanMedia contests within the past 12 months are NOT eligible

Geographic Restrictions:

• Contest is VOID in Quebec and where prohibited by law

• Open to Canadian residents only – no international entries accepted

3. CONTEST PERIOD

Entry Period: 1st May 2025 at 12:01 AM EST to 30th June 2025 at 11:59 PM EST
Draw Date: 1st June to 30th June 2025
Winner Notification: Within 5 business days of draw date

4. HOW TO ENTER

Primary Entry Method:

• Complete the online entry form with required information

• Submit one (1) entry per person for duration of contest

5. PRIZE INFORMATION

Grand Prize: Halifax Wellness Weekend
Approximate Retail Value (ARV): Over $10,000 CAD
Total Number of Prizes: Over 100
Odds of Winning: Approximately 1 in 350 based on expected entries

Prize Details:

• Prize awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee

• No cash substitution, transfer, or assignment of prize permitted

• Sponsor reserves right to substitute prize of equal or greater value

• Winner responsible for all applicable taxes

Prize Restrictions:

• Prize must be accepted as awarded

• Travel-related prizes (if applicable) subject to availability and blackout dates

6. WINNER SELECTION & NOTIFICATION

Selection Process:

• Random draw from all eligible entries received

• Draw conducted by automated random winner generator software or HumanMedia representative

• Winners selected based on chance, not skill

Skill-Testing Question: Before being declared a winner, selected entrant must:

• Correctly answer a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question

• Question must be answered within 5 minutes without assistance

• Failure to correctly answer results in disqualification

Winner Notification:

• Winners contacted via phone and/or email within 5 business days

• Winner must respond within 72 hours of initial contact attempt

• Failure to respond results in disqualification and alternate winner selection

Winner Requirements: Before receiving prize, winner must:

• Provide proof of Canadian residency and age

• Sign and return Declaration of Eligibility and Liability Release within 10 business days

• Complete any required tax documentation

• Comply with all contest rules and requirements

7. DISQUALIFICATION CONDITIONS

Immediate disqualification occurs for:

• False or incomplete entry information

• Violation of any contest rule

• Inability to comply with winner requirements

• Failure to correctly answer skill-testing question

• Evidence of tampering or fraudulent activity

8. GENERAL CONDITIONS

Sponsor Rights:

• Modify, suspend, or terminate contest due to circumstances beyond reasonable control

• Verify eligibility and compliance with rules

• Disqualify entries that violate rules or applicable law

• Use winner’s name, photo, and contest experience for promotional purposes without compensation

Participant Responsibilities:

• Provide accurate and complete information

• Comply with all applicable laws and contest rules

• Accept prize within specified timeframe

• Be available for winner verification process

Technical Issues:

• Sponsor not responsible for technical failures, network congestion, or server issues

• Entries lost due to technical problems will not be replaced

• Sponsor’s computer records determine entry receipt and validity

9. PRIVACY & DATA COLLECTION

Information Collection:

• We collect personal information necessary for contest administration

• Information includes: name, address, phone, email, age verification

• Collection complies with applicable Canadian privacy laws

Use of Information:

• Contest administration and winner selection

• Prize fulfillment and tax reporting

• Legal compliance and verification purposes

Consent for Marketing (Optional): By separate opt-in consent, you may choose to receive marketing communications from HumanMedia. This is NOT required for contest entry.

Information Sharing:

• Information may be shared with third parties for contest administration

• Winner information may be shared for tax reporting purposes

• No information sold or shared for unrelated marketing purposes

10. ANTI-SPAM COMPLIANCE

Electronic Communications:

• Contest-related emails sent only for administration purposes

• Marketing emails require separate opt-in consent

• Unsubscribe options provided in all electronic communications

• Compliance with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL)

11. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Sponsor Liability Limited To:

• Prize replacement value only

• No liability for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

• No liability for technical failures or circumstances beyond control

Participant Acknowledgment:

• Participation at own risk

• Release of sponsor from claims related to contest participation

• Acceptance of all rules and conditions

12. GOVERNING LAW & DISPUTES

Applicable Law:

• Contest governed by laws of Canada and province of Nova Scotia in the city of Halifax.

• Any disputes subject to exclusive jurisdiction of Canadian courts

Dispute Resolution:

• Informal resolution attempted first

• Binding arbitration if informal resolution unsuccessful

• Individual claims only – no class action permitted

13. WINNER PUBLICITY

Publicity Rights: Winner consents to use of name, photograph, voice, and contest experience for promotional purposes by HumanMedia without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law.

Social Media: Winner may be featured on HumanMedia social media channels and marketing materials.

14. ADDITIONAL TERMS

Force Majeure: Contest may be cancelled or modified due to circumstances beyond sponsor’s reasonable control including natural disasters, pandemic restrictions, or government regulations.

Rule Modifications: Sponsor reserves right to modify rules for legal compliance or fairness, with appropriate notice to participants.

Winner List: For winner information, send self-addressed stamped envelope within 30 days of draw date to address listed above.

FRENCH LANGUAGE NOTICE

This contest is not available to Quebec residents due to provincial regulatory requirements.
