Cover Model – Jodi Barrett

As I sit down to write this, I’m aware of the quiet significance that comes with the close of a year. There’s something about this moment between what has been and what’s coming that invites honesty. The kind that asks you to pause long enough to feel what the year actually left behind. Not the version we summarize for others, but the one that lives in the body. The one that lingers in stillness.

2025 carried depth. It shaped women in ways that don’t always show up on the surface. It brought moments of clarity, moments of reckoning, moments where strength was discovered in unexpected places. It asked questions many women had been avoiding and offered answers that couldn’t be rushed. As we step toward 2026, I find myself less interested in grand declarations and more drawn to reflection. To truth. To what remains when the noise settles and the expectations fall away.

This issue, Stronger Than Ever, holds space for that reflection.

It’s an exploration of strength as something lived. Resilience as something practiced. Success as something deeply personal. These pages carry stories from women who have moved through change with awareness, intention, and courage. Women who chose alignment. Women who listened inward. Women who allowed themselves to evolve, even when it required discomfort, recalibration, or starting again from a more honest place.

Throughout 2025, Optimyz had the honor of featuring voices that stayed with us long after the conversations ended. Jane Sibbett. Caitlin Morrison. Demitria Chalkias. Dionna Dorsey. Harzan Jaf. Marissa Papaconstantinou. Stephanie Szostak. Susan Sztricsko. Helen Xenidis. Durga McBroom. And now, as we open January, Jodi Barrett.

Each woman arrived with her own story, her own rhythm, her own way of defining what matters. And yet, a shared presence was felt in every exchange. A steadiness. A clarity. A sense of ownership over their lives and choices. There was an unmistakable feeling of women standing firmly inside themselves, no longer negotiating their worth or explaining their evolution.

Strength showed up as self-trust.
Resilience revealed itself through adaptability.
Success reflected an internal knowing.

What stayed with me most was how grounded these women were in themselves. There was an ease in the way they spoke about their journeys. An absence of urgency. A confidence that didn’t need to be justified. Their stories carried wisdom shaped by experience, reflection, and the willingness to listen to themselves deeply. You could feel that these were women who had learned how to be with themselves in both motion and pause.

These women didn’t speak in terms of arrival. They spoke in terms of becoming. In honoring the ongoing nature of growth. In allowing life to be expansive rather than fixed.

Jane Sibbett embodies the courage of transformation and the openness to follow a calling wherever it leads. Her story reflects a trust in life’s unfolding and a willingness to step forward with curiosity and grace.

Marissa Papaconstantinou offers a powerful expression of determination and self-belief. Her story speaks to presence, possibility, and moving forward with confidence.

Stephanie Szostak reflects the freedom found in reinvention. Her journey speaks to growth, self-acceptance, and honoring change as part of life’s rhythm.

Susan Sztricsko embodies steadiness and purpose. Her resilience is shaped through commitment, consistency, and meaningful contribution.

Helen Xenidis brings forward a bold and expansive vision of midlife. Her story invites women to step into this chapter with confidence, vitality, and self-respect.

Durga McBroom carries a deeply embodied understanding of wellness. Her presence reminds us that strength includes intuition, awareness, and care for the whole self.

And now, Jodi Barrett steps onto the January cover with a grounded confidence that feels both steady and inspiring. Her story speaks to self-ownership, clarity, and defining success in a way that feels true and sustainable. She represents a moment of arrival into self-acceptance that feels earned, embodied, and deeply resonant.

What connects these women is not a singular path, outcome, or destination. It’s the way they relate to their lives. There is intention in their choices. Integrity in their decisions. A sense of alignment that comes from listening inward and honoring what matters most. These are women who understand that fulfillment is built from the inside out.

As the editor-in-chief of Optimyz, I’ve always believed that wellness is a lived relationship. A relationship with your body, your values, your truth, and your evolving sense of self. This issue reflects that belief through real stories, real experiences, and real wisdom. It reflects what happens when women stop chasing external markers and start trusting their internal compass.

Strength is self-trust.
Resilience is adaptability.
Success is alignment.

As we move into 2026, this issue offers an invitation. To pause. To reflect. To consider what strength means in your own life. To notice where resilience has already carried you. To define success in a way that feels honest, supportive, and sustaining.

You are allowed to change, to choose differently, and to grow into a life that fits.

May these stories meet you where you are. To remind you of what’s possible. And to support you as you step forward with clarity and confidence.

Here’s to the women who shared their stories.
To the year that shaped us.
And to moving into 2026 grounded, empowered, and stronger than ever.
